Los Angeles (August 06, 2013) – After blending an obsession for the saveur life with a dollop of tongue-in-cheek sensibility, REV New Media proudly introduces The Savory (www.TheSavory.com),  an addictive new food and cocktail website for the next generation of gourmet lovers. From the illustrated beef butchery breakdown to the classic American cocktails video series, each piece of content is tailor-made to educate the newest foodie or the hardest-core food-nerd on what they care about most: gourmet their way.

A glance at its home page immediately reveals the mission and character of The Savory. Hand-drawn illustrations pepper the editorial pieces, bringing a playful charm and creative atmosphere to the site. Want to know the secret for keeping pesto and guacamole green or how to make your own extracts?  Are you ready to celebrate the little-known yet much-appreciated National Scotch Day?  Take a gander at “24 Bizarre Cookbooks You Secretly Want to Own” (e.g. Fifty Shades of Chicken), let The Savory inspire you and your sweet tooth with “19 Crazy S’mores Ideas,” or read the brief and tragic history of the clear malt beverage.

“We are proud to add The Savory to our REV New Media properties,” said Raymond Attipa, CEO, REV New Media. “The site offers a user-friendly experience to our already growing foodie audience and enhances our well-established position as a leader in creating addictive content.”

What really makes The Savory unique is that there is no dumbing or watering down of insightful content. In-house bartender and cocktail editor Pete Capella shares his bartending skills by teaching viewers how to make cocktails like a pro, and The Savory Chef, Drew Snyder, can break down any gourmet recipe into a simple and fool-proof tutorial. Every columnist and video contributor is a professional in the food industry. Their mission is to inspire and empower a new generation of gourmet fans through snob-free videos and beautiful editorial content.

REV New Media recently re-launched their high-traffic web properties Hollyscoop, ModaMob, The Fumble, Stereotude, and The Lowdown with Diana Madison. Rev New Media properties along with their distribution channels receive 158 million average monthly editorial views and 200 million average monthly video views.

About REV New Media
REV New Media was founded in 2007 to meet the growing online content demands of the millennial demographic.  By focusing on entertainment and Hollywood gossip with its flagship property Hollyscoop.com, REV successfully began aligning Fortune 500 brand advertisers with a demographic that is notorious for their growing disinterest in traditional media. In 2011, RNM launched several additional web properties to diversify its portfolio and expand its tech savvy audience as it evolved into the prominent web network it is today.  These sites include ModaMob, Stereotude, The Fumble and, most recently, The Savory.
