GEJA’S CAFÉ HOSTS THEIR
FIRST EVER BREWS AND FONDUES EVENT

Chicago’s legendary fondue restaurant has teamed up with The Chicago Brewseum to present four creative pairings

CHICAGO— At 52 years old, Geja’s Café, 340 W. Armitage, is thrilled to open their doors on Sunday, March 19th at 1pm sharp for their first ever Brews and Fondues Luncheon. Liz Garibay, Chicago beer historian, and The Chicago Brewseum Founder, will open the event.  Andres Araya, owner of 5 Rabbit Brewery; Tracy Hurst co-owner of Metropolitan Brewing; and representatives of Whiner Brewing and Revolution Brewing will present the pairing of four Chicago craft breweries with Geja’s complete fondue experience.  This great afternoon event will cost $65 per person and a reservation must be made in advance with a credit card by calling Geja’s Café at 773.281.9101. Proceeds are being donated to The Chicago Brewseum, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

Attendees will start the afternoon enjoying Metropolitan Flywheel as the reception and salad pairing.  The first course of the event, Geja’s Café’s famous cheese fondue will be paired with Whiner Brewing Rubrique. The entrée course, the International Premiere Dinner featuring beef tenderloin, gulf shrimp, and chicken, is paired with 5 Rabbit Ironica IPA, followed by the grande finale, Geja’s Café’s flaming chocolate fondue, enjoyed with Revolution Eugene Porter. 

Known for romantic fondue dining – food one prepares and shares – and an extensive list of fine, moderately priced wines, Geja’s Café features over 20 different types of fondue entrees including cheese fondue and chocolate dessert fondue. An enchanting wine cellar atmosphere, private booths, and subdued lighting contribute to its intimate surroundings.  Live flamenco and classical guitarists provide romantic accompaniment.
