From the Inbox: Wingstop introduces Brazilian Citrus Pepper flavor

Something from the inbox last week - good news for wing lovers! A new flavor will been the menu until May 28!

WINGSTOP’S NEW BRAZILIAN CITRUS PEPPER PACKS A PIRI PIRI PUNCH

The exotic, bold new flavor – with a twist of zesty citrus – is available for a limited time

DALLAS – Wingstop (NASDAQ: WING), the award-winning wing concept with more than 1,000 locations worldwide, today announced the launch of its newest, craveable wing flavor – Brazilian Citrus Pepper. The full-on flavor sensation is available now through May 28 at all U.S. Wingstop locations and is arguably the best combination of citrus and spice to ever hit a wing.

Brazilian Citrus Pepper wings are dusted in a bold dry rub bursting with zesty citrus and piri piri peppers. Compared to other well-known spices, the African-native piri piri (Swahili for “pepper, pepper”) is a staple in Brazilian cooking and delivers an impeccable slow-burn taste that packs a punch at the end of every bite. This flavor-first, spice-last profile promises a little something extra – and exotic – for wing fans craving some sweet heat with a citrus twist.

“I’m officially going on record and saying that Brazilian Citrus Pepper is the best limited time flavor we’ve ever tossed up here at Wingstop – and my personal favorite,” said Flynn Dekker, Chief Marketing Officer of Wingstop“We’re always looking to introduce our fans to new flavor profiles that they may not have tried before, but we’re sure they’ll love. Brazilian Citrus Pepper is just that; in fact, it was the most successful flavor we’ve ever tested with our guests. We knew immediately we had to bring this powerhouse dry rub straight to our fans.”

Brazilian Citrus Pepper is an exclusive limited time offering available now until May 28 on classic and boneless wings, which are always cooked to order and sauced and tossed to perfection by The Wing Experts. The Wingstop menu also features 11 original flavors, including fan favorites Mango Habanero, Lemon Pepper, Garlic Parmesan, and Original Hot. Sides are made fresh daily, including hand-cut seasoned fries, made from #1 Idaho potatoes.

Fans can order the Brazilian Citrus Pepper and all of their Wingstop favorites by using simple vocal prompts through Amazon Alexa such as “Alexa, ask Wingstop to order wings”; “Alexa, ask Wingstop to order favorite”; or “Alexa, ask Wingstop to order an 8 piece classic wing combo with Brazilian Citrus Pepper, fries and ranch.” To get started, Alexa users must enable the skill in the Alexa app and then link their Wingstop account. Additionally, orders can be placed in-restaurant, online, and across social media channels by direct messaging Wingstop via Facebook Messenger or tweeting “order” or “#order” to @Wingstop via Twitter.
